Last minute NYE show

We're playing a NYE show this Friday at Cake Shop w/ X-Ray Eyeballs!

ALSO, this song rules. It's called "Rock Europeu" by the Brazilian band Fellini. We first heard it on a mixtape our friend Abi made us a couple years ago. It's on an excellent compilation we just got of South American post punk from the 80's called "The Sexual Life of the Savages".

ENJOY!

EUPHORIA VIDEO: THE OPPOSITE OF ALWAYS ON MY MIND VIDEO

Here is a brand new video for a brand new song from our split with Coasting on Atelier Ciseaux! Premiered on YVYNYL today by Mark: The king of the internet!!

(you can stream this 'suitably scrappy' song from Pitchfork!) AND you can buy the split HERE! Limited pressing! first 50 come with silk screen poster designed by me (Sarah)!

SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Shot and edited by one of our best friends AARON DEBRUIN (of "The Sun is Out" & Eternal Summers'"Secret Language" fame) in an abandoned train station(?) in the middle of the woods in Manyunk (which is right outside of Philly) during the summer. Special assistance from Al Ashraf and his dog life partner Lulu, who makes her film debut.

- It's supposed to be super LOW BUDGE looking - shot on hi-8 and then shot again from a T.V.

- If you look close enough we're wearing busted ripped up clothes because it's the post-apocolypse, duh.

- Those glasses Rob's wearing are busted prop glasses! He does not generally wear bifocals.

Prism Eyes Reviews!!

"Hazy, undefined nostalgia is Reading Rainbow's stock-in-trade. And when Everton and Garcia work with rose-colored 1960s pop sounds and feisty punk 'tude, the results are wonderful."
http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/14905-prism-eyes/

"Now that Baltimore has finally gotten its due as a great American music town, let’s talk about Philadelphia. This is a city that, in recent history, has given us the venerable How I Got Over by The Roots and the “constant hitmaker,” Kurt Vile (not to mention Free Energy, Man Man, and a barrel of others). But now that Reading Rainbow’s debut pop masterwork Prism Eyes LP is out on HoZac, it’s officially Philadelphia’s time."
http://consequenceofsound.net/2010/11/23/album-review-reading-rainbow-prism-eyes/

"...the simple, heart-tugging beauty of Reading Rainbow’s songwriting is what makes Prism Eyes a warm (and surprisingly discernable) stunner."
http://www.avclub.com/articles/reading-rainbow-prism-eyes,48124/

"The duo fully embraces the daintyhood perfected by twee pioneers with a bedroom-recording twist. And with just two members, the sound gets impressively big."
http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2010/11/reading-rainbow-prism-eyes.html

"There’s a slow song hidden within every fast one here, a choral elegy spliced into even the peppiest banger. Here’s what happens when you shine punk rock energy through a prism, and it breaks into a million different colors."
